Review of The OPMC. Logan Jacobs wrote the OPMC “The god of winning”. It’s a Lit-RPG style Harem, Dark Fantasy, Men’s Adventure.

I read this book because his books dominate in the category of dark fantasy, yes there are some dark scenes but also this is more a LitRPG book and a Harem Fantasy book. I like to write a lot of sex scenes in my books, so I like to see how other authors do it.
In literary terms, OPMC means: Omni Powerful Main Character.

Great Cover design.
I have to give props to Logan Jacob’s cover designs. They are awesome. I’ve only read a few other books by him, Evil Genius, Skullduggery. If you are a fan of litrpg then you will not be disappointed. He follows the tropes, and he also gets his hero into some tough situations. I don’t want to give the plot away completely.

Dark Narcissistic Fantasy
But this is Dark Fantasy in that the hero is very narcissistic and I personally did not find that appealing he has snarky dialogue with his enemies in battle like Dead Pool would have. That could be funny and entertaining if you imagine the hero Sebastian or “Bash” as they sometimes call him, using Ryan Reynolds’ voice.
My guess is that the lead character was modeled after the actor’s roles in movies like Deadpool.

Harem Fantasy
The harem fantasy elements will not let you down but I will say my books are as explicit if not more and he uses word pictures like “her tunnel” just not what I would use but writing explicit sex scenes are hard, pun intended.
The way our hero uses his power to gain his women’s trust is very manipulative if you think about it and shallow, but for readers of harem fantasy, it is extreme wish-fulfillment. Prudes are not going to be buying this book, that’s for sure.
I think if you like harem fantasy and Lit-RPG, you will be very satisfied.
I did not connect with the lead protagonist. The first thing I didn’t like was that he was complaining about his job in tech support when an elderly lady didn’t know how to use her computer. She was obviously computer illiterate. To me, being rude to the elderly is not enduring.
But this book has sold tons of copies. Logan Jacobs books are in the Best Seller categories in Dark Fantasy and Sword and Sorcery.
I give this book an honest 3.7 stars. I was entertained by the book but also I did not admire the protagonist. Why I like Brandon Sanderson and Joe Abercrombie is that it is clear in their books that no one is indestructible or completely evil or good.

But I will continue to read Logan Jacobs’ books! Skullduggery was a 4.7 in comparison. I don’t want to spoil the plot of this book because it does have an interesting plot. If you could relive every moment of your life till you got it right or perfect, you would be compared to a god of winning.
