Why Doraleous and Associates is better than Hollywood’s t films? You may have never heard of Doraleous and Associates. Maybe that’s because it wasn’t created by Hollywood or Netflix, but was a series on YouTube. A channel called Hank and Jed created Doraleous and Associates in 2012.

Why Doraleous and Associates is better than Hollywood’s films? The series is a comedy spoof of everything, High Fantasy.

You can find hints of D&D, Harry Potter, Arthurian Fantasy and much more referenced in Doraleous and Associates. The comedy writing is great, especially for a low-budget show. The re-occurring gags and jokes based on the characters keep paying comedy dividends episode after episode.

It seems like the big studios are all writing the same jokes. But the joke is on the consumer, the moviegoer and sometimes the streaming subscriber.

Who is Doraleous and Associates?

Doraleous and Associates are a group of mercenaries who are wiling to fight for anyone who is oppressed or losing their grip their freedom, for a small fee. Located in Nudonia Doraleous and Associates’s core group consists of Doraleous, Neebs, Moridon, Drak, Broof, and Sir Walken.

The Main Cast of Characters.

Doraleous

• Doraleous is the leader of the Mercenaries for hire, known as Doraleous and associates. Nate Panning voices Doraleous.

Neebs

• Neebs is the talkative Elf, Archer, and creator of The Wonder Broom. He is also the famed slayer of Titanus. This is an important character because he is often at odds with Doraleous because he has a problem following orders and he is a narcissist. Brent Triplett does the voice acting for Neebs. His accent sounds like someone from the southern parts of the United States. He makes for an interesting elf.

As you can see, sir, this is not your everyday broom. This is the wonder-broom with the extra long handle and the extra bristle count. How many wonder-brooms can I put you down for, sir?

Mirdon

• Mirdon, the wizard of the Associates who spends most of time getting drunk. His main magic spell he uses is power beam and a spell that turns his enemy’s hands into snakes.

I think we should keep an eye on Drak or kill him.

Drak

• Drak is a hairy, short, fat barbarian that where’s little clothing but a loincloth and a skull-cap helmet. He’s the most devoted of the associates. The team thought him to be killed by a monster and they actually burry him. But a were-wolf bit him and Drak comes back later in the series as the same old Drak and sometimes a huge mindless beast.

Doraleous, I pledge my axe to you. And this wonderful cause. From now on, our minds are shared. We have the same brain from here on out.

Broof

• Broof is from the fallen kingdom of Legapur and the best warrior in the Associates. Broof was supposed to fight King Callas’s best warrior in a duel, but Neebs killed Callas’s best warrior Titanus with an arrow. When asked by Doraleous if he (Doraleous could take down Titanus, Broof says: On a good day—maybe. Broof was a crucial part of an ex-military group called the Legapur Nine. The Legapur-Nine were betrayed by King Ragthor of Mightopolis.He just-about worships the legendary warrior Testiclees. Broof is an interesting character. He has no tear ducts and cannot cry. Broof’s happy face is the same as his angry face.

Theasuarus

• Theasuarus, is Neebs replacement and possibly Australian. He later quits the Associates to work for Neebs selling Wonder Brooms.

Ladder-guy

• Ladder-guy, a trail replacement associate for Drak. His only skill is carrying a ladder everywhere and was fired because all he does is carry a ladder.

Everybody knows you don’t step on the top rung of ladder.

Sir Walken

• Sir Walken, a consultant to Doraleous and Associates he comes and goes from the group but his lines are some of the funniest. He is a master of disguises and infiltration. Sir Walken usually arrives at the nick-of-time to save the day. He is easily my favorite character. Sir Walken sounds like Christopher Walken.

Doraleous if you really want to annihilate your enemies, what you need is the Zephyr blade.

The Supporting Characters and Villains.

• Testiclees is a famed warrior with huge testicles. His age is unknown, but he has a lot scars and gray hair. When the boogie man goes to sleep, he checks his closet for Testiclees.
• Leslie, the greatest and worst warrior of Wetald kingdom. We often see him shaking with fear and his voice is that of a scared child. He appears in 5 episodes.

• Aleena, she was sold into slavery by the Pyramites but rescued by the Associates. Her signature big boobs defined her.
• The Lady of The Lake is the keeper of the mystical weapon, the Zephyr Blade. She lives in a lake and mischievously promises, would be “chosen ones”, the Zephyr Blade, but usually she gives them a decoy. She hangs out in the lake naked except for wearing pasties over her nipples, but we never see below her waist keeping the show with a PG rating.

• The Geigh General known for their sausage festival. They resembel the Spartans from the movie: The 300.

• King Calas is the leader of the Nanadoos. He often refers to Doraleous as Dorilingus.

• Titanus, a legendary warrior who they said his urine melts steel, and he cannot be killed. Neebs killed him three or more times with an arrow when he was not expecting it. Titanus hates Neebs and his undying mission is to kill Neebs.
• The Pyramites may seem affable but go around taking captive men into slavery and burning the women and children. They were led by Thurston.
• Gilgorf is a wizard and an old friend of Mirdon. But he’s been dabbling in dark magic. He is Mirdon’s rival.
• Brothers of The Old World are an evil organization led by General Barat. They want to bring down Nudonia and rule the world in darkness.

Why Doraleous and Associates is better than Hollywood’s films? What I love best about Doraleous and Associates.

It’s obviously the humor from the primary group of characters and the banter between them it’s a comedy. Doraleous is the straight man. Like Bud Abbott from Abbott and Costello or Graham Chapman’s King Arthur Arthur in Monty Python’s Holy Grail movie, a straight man sets up all the jokes. Doraleous is concerned with fighting against evil and saving the oppressed. Neebs and Moridon are concerned more with gaining riches, fame and the occasional maiden. This set up makes for a lot of comedy gold. This Series qualifgies as the most underated Fantasy Parody Show ever.

Hank and Jed also have a popular series called Battlefield Friends that is set in the game world of Battlefield 3 and moves onto Battlefield 4 in season 4.
